Budget (including currency): Around 1000 CAD after tax (and also before gpu.)

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Fortnite, Csgo, R6S, OBS, very light streaming and editing.)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

$240 CPU : i5 9600k (I will use the iGPU until gpu prices drop in my area.)

$80 CPU Cooler : Noctua NH-U12S (I was thinking about this because I don't want to go watercooling and also don't want a low quality air cooler.)

Waiting for the 3060 to go down in price but currently it's about 560 in my area. If I get needy I'm going to go with the 1660 TI for convinience because it's about 390 currently.

$110 RAM : G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB CL16 (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz (If you guys know of any Ram that I could use for this price then I'm good with changing.)

$125 Storage : SN550 1TB NVME (I will also get a 2TB HDD for about $60 down the road.)

$150 Motherboard : Gigabyte Z390 UD (If you know of any other motherboards that are decent and will support a future upgrade to the 9900k then I'm up for it.)

$90 PSU : Phanteks AMP 550W 80+ Gold (I would like something at least semi or fully modular but I'm willing to sacrifice here.)

$70 Case : Fractal Design Focus G Black (Just a cheap case that's good for the price. Any other suggestions are ones that I would be open to.)

I'm wondering not only if this would satisfy what I'm looking to build it for but ways that I could tone down the budget and still get a similar performance. I've done a lot of research immersing myself into this new world over the past 18 months and honestly should have asked my parents for a loan or something before the gpus got way out of hand. Now I'm trying to lower the budget and keep around the same performance. I already have a VG24VQ monitor that I use with my current laptop and a Razer Blackwidow Elite paired with a Glorious model O for the keyboard and mouse (I got both used for a fairly cheap price compared to new.) The pc is the final step and I don't want to make any wrong purchases. Thank you in advance!

I would recommend swapping this out for a Ryzen 7 3700X, it is $40 more for 2 more cores and 4 additional threads  -->     https://pcpartpicker.com/product/QKJtt6/amd-ryzen-7-3700x-36-ghz-8-core-processor-100-100000071box

Cheaper RAM with a good heat spreader -->     https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zBTzK8/silicon-power-xpower-turbine-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3200-memory-sp016gxlzu320bda

Most users aren't even going to notice a difference going from a SATA SSD to an NVMe one, on larger drive capacity options such as 1TB especially, the NVMe version can be significantly more costly. -->     https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ffbwrH/sandisk-ssd-plus-1-tb-25-solid-state-drive-sdssda-1t00-g26

The Intel Core i9 9900K already exists (https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i9-9900K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/dp/B005404P9I). The AMD AM4 platform will give you a lot more flexibility for future processor upgrades and is required if you're going for a Ryzen processor --> https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4mjNnQ/asrock-b550-phantom-gaming-4-atx-am4-motherboard-b550-phantom-gaming-4

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

As for the cpu I use CAD and the main website that I'm going to be using will be https://www.canadacomputers.com/ because there is a store by me.

Thank you for the ram idea though

Although the difference is not noticable to most people the price difference and performance for my area is much better. A 1TB SSD costs about 120 CAD when not on sale and the SN550 costs 135 when not on sale. Thank you for the suggestion though.

I am aware that the 9900k already exists but it is the highest quality that I would ever need in 2-3 years which is when I would upgrade to it. But again, thank you for the suggestion.

I would also like to clarify this specifically. Intel CPU's for some reason are selling at a lower price when compared to AMD for the same performance in my area and this lead me to go to Intel rather than AMD. I would also like to put this out there... I like AMD's Ryzen series but for the price that I need to spend on it I just don't have the budget for the same performance.
