I feel as if my computer isn't running as fast as others peoples computers I see with similar or even lower specs. What can I do to make sure that my computer is running as it should be?

Specs:

i7 4770K @ 3.5 GhZ

NVIDIA GTX 770

8GM RAM

SSD 120GB

1TB HDD

Check what bloatware you have installed. If it's really bad I'd recommend reinstalling your OS.

Define running as fast:  Lower frame rates? Bad load times?

At any rate its always a good idea to make sure as little stuff as possible is running in the background.

In Windows 8, there's a start up tab in the task manager

in Windows 8, click the start menu and search 'msconfig' and you'll find a start up tab there, you can go ahead and take anything off there you feel isn't nessisary.

But yeah, what is "not running as fast".

Never recommend something if you don't know 100% what it does or how it works.
