No POST when using DisplayPort

Whenever I power on my PC, I get no signal until the windows 10 login.

I have 2 monitors, 1 HDMI and 1 DP. If i just have the HDMI monitor plugged in, the POST screen shows; if I have the DP monitor plugged in, it does not display.

I have tried so much:

I'm planning on dual booting Win10 and Ubuntu and having to unplug my DP monitor is a pain to do EVERY time.

Any help is appreciated!

Specs:

  • MB = Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2H
  • CPU = Intel Pentuim G4560
  • Graphics = Zotac GTX 960 2GB single fan
  • RAM = 2 x 4GB
  • OS = WIndows 10 x64 20H2
  • {if anyone needs more please let me know}

Is your DP monitor set as the main monitor in Windows?

Yes it is. I will change it and see if that makes a difference

Unfortunately, the issue persists. So many people had their issue fixed with the graphics card firmware update but not mine?

Do you have another DP cable to try?

No but I do not think that it is the cable. I use a HDMI to DP adapter since my graphics card has only 1 HDMI port. I have swapped the cables around and it does not make a difference.

Try to eliminate any adapters, and just use a straight cable to get an image.

Even if that's not the cable type you want to use.
