EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti FTW3 ULTRA: is it worth the money?

Ok, I entered the Newegg shuffle like I do pretty much everyday expecting to get the normal "sorry, you weren't selected" email. Well I just got a message saying I WAS selected and it's for the card in the title and a 700w power supply (combo only). I just built a pc last month with a 1660 super so I'm wondering if I should jump at this chance, get the card (and risk my wife killing me) or do I just wait until I absolutely need to upgrade my card?

Just buy it and sell the 1660? you'll easily get what you paid for it back.

Why enter the shuffle if you didn't want the item?  You were selected, like you wanted, so buy the card.

Depends on the price you're getting it for.  It's probably pretty reasonable overall.

I did want it, just wasn't expecting to actually win. We just put a bid in on a house today and then I got the notification like an hour later so I was kinda overwhelmed and in shock lol.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. I wasn't really thinking straight when I made the post, even with the 1660 being used for a little over a month I can still get most my money back for it.

Don't do anything to affect your available credit ratio if you're buying a house.

 

Sign your papers first, then rack up cc debt (if you must)

No cc, used a debit card that my paychecks go on for that specific reason. =)

if you paid retail for it you'll still get over what you paid for it.

I bought a 3070 Ti Aorus Master in the Newegg shuffle because I wanted to upgrade to a 3080 and figured I'd settle. The next day I got a 3080 Ti from EVGA. Been trying to sell the 3070 Ti to a gamer but only get messages from miners or scammers on CL or FB Marketplace. Thought about doing Ebay, but the fees would be >$200, which means charging scalper prices to break even.

"but only get messages from miners" I get you're trying to the good thing and sell it someone who will actually use it for gaming, but my point was simply if he wanted to he could sell it, which you have kinda reinforced.

You are correct. It could take a couple of days, but they can definitely sell it to someone.
