Ethernet problem

yada yada yada I upgraded the motherboard (msi b450  a pro to msi x570 gaming pro wifi)  and gpu without reinstalling windohs (yes i installed all the drivers needed) but ethernet connects for a split micro second on identifying then connected then it dips, comes back a few seconds later, wifi works great but ethernet not working is annoying id prefer not to reinstall windows because everything is working fine except the ethernet

What drivers did you install? It sounds like you didn't install the right chipset drivers. Did you find the exact chipset number and install those?

i double checked and went to msi website, when i rebooted windows after installing the hardware, it seemed to do everything except the gpu which is normal, but yes i double checked and they were both correctly installed

Is it an intel chipset? You could try downloading the intel drivers instead of the MSI ones.

so after fiddling with some stuff, i got it working for a solid and i shit you not, 2 mins and its back to being a potato
