You may want to clean up the pc that you are selling and maybe do some basic maintenence on the gpu like replacing the thermal paste and cleaning any dust on it

Hello

i'm planning to sell my old pc but i don't want to sell the GPU, it's safe to remove and didn't use it for a while?

i want to build a new pc and I'm still saving to buy another part (I've already bought a CPU and motherboard)

my GPU is MSI 1650s Gaming X,I bought it one year ago.

Thanks

It is safe to do so, but you should keep it in a place that its pins won't get bended

GPUs don't have pins that can be bent - all their contacts are on a card edge and the only ways to damage those are to scratch them off or break the connector off entirely. Both of which are very hard to do on accident.

OP, it's fine to stick it on a shelf. It's what I did with a card for 5 months and it did fine. Works now.

I thought it was CPU…

BTw it might be important to clean up dust on the contact points before using again
