Ram Clearance Question

Hi guys,

 

Im looking to get some new ram. Ive been looking at Teamgroup Xtreem 3600mhz ram, however I dont know if it will fit with my Dark rock pro 3. On the specs of the dark rock pro 3 it says it has 44mm clearance and the ram is 4,9cm high, So im not sure if i move the fan a bit it will fit? Thanks!

What case are you using? If you have more room to move that fan up to allow for RAM clearance, then it should be fine, but best to know what case you are using.

in my current case I have plenty of room to move the fan around, so it should be all good! Im thinking of getting a 5600x soon, would you say this ram is good with that? Thanks again

What exact kit are you getting? Just want to check the timings are good enough to pair with a 5600X, and 3600MHz is the sweet spot for Ryzen 5000 series processors. Just know that 4.9cm is 49mm in height.

and yes, so the cooler has 44mm of clearance and the size of the ram is 49mm

Oh wow, didn't expect them to be so tall haha. CL18 timings are good/great (the bare highest I'd go for 3600).
