Looking to build a PC. Best value here? Will be used for rendering, video editing, and large file transfers. Budget is 250 for reccomendations. Thanks.

Those two drives are in completely different classes. You have to consider capacity and GB/$ for which the 980 PRO is nonsensical in the least...

That is a closer match. The 980 PRO had a SLC caching problem that should be solved now, but it still comes down to pricing. The 980 PRO has the better flash but the SN850 has proven to be a reliable choice.
