That stopcode doesn't give enough info. Assuming he can still boot to Windows but gets this crash occasionally or constantly, they should be able to locate minidump files and read more details from there. If not, using Windows installer gives option to repair Windows or load system restore point. And if those fail, then reinstalling is the only way to fix.

 

Why this is happening is mystery with the little details here. Usually you see BSOD with hardware failure, drivers issues, bad Windows update or software conflicting with OS.
