Potential Flaw within 3070 on a specific game.

More Details:

 

So even looking at a wall it seems to be stuck at about 100FPS

GPU utilization WILL NOT go above 50% including CPU util. I have no idea whats happening. Nothing is enabled and I have tried every single optimization to ever exist. The ONLY thing I have not tried is a bios update. I will try that right now and hopefully it goes well.

Bump, Rebuilt PC made sure everything was applied right including thermal paste. About to test the first game on. Re-seated GPU so lets try this.

Bios update didn't work and pc rebuild also didn't work. I can confirm that it is definitely the game. It bothers me that people with the same setup are getting 200fps but oh well.

make sure the game files are using all cores.

 

That 3000mhz ram isnt helping one bit with the 3700x

 

you should see 160 all day as I have a 3700x 3070 or 3060 combo.  Even the 3060 runs 130-150fps in 1080 when pared with a 3700x.

winner winner chicken dinner i would think.  Pretty sure hdmi (of the latest gen) caps at like 120mhz..I could be wrong.  And no, I do not believe a converter will help.

 

Make sure all drivers are up to date and installed clean.

The picture of you in game looks like your GPU is waiting 4ms per every frame made by the GPU.  Check those game files.  Got a feeling its running on less than 8 cores.  You should be damn near matched 1:1 with a 3700x and 3070 for CPU - GPU time.

the Render worker count is what needs to match your core count.  Initially mine was at 5 of 8.

article shows that they had theirs set between 12-14 so I put mine to 14 cause i got 16 threads lets see ig

pretty sure its based off physical cores, not threads.  just a heads up
