Hi guys, i plan to upgrade to RTX 3080 but currently i have some problem with the driver.
My setup have 2 monitor with different refresh rate 144hz and 60hz, i am using a stable version which not get me stuck at 60hz for both monitor but it a 384.94 version. i try to upgrage to 4xx but it unusable for me.
Can RTX 3080 use previous driver version for 1000/2000 seri ?

Doubtful.  The 1000 series didn’t have tensor cores at all and the 2000 series while it did have tensor cores used an earlier version of them or something.  Not sure. I don’t know if it’s been tried.  Nvidia only releases binaries for their drivers so it’s hard to know what is in them.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

so my best bet is upgrade 3080 and buy another 144hz monitor ?

I don’t know what your best bet is myself.

I think this is some sort of quirk with your current card and the driver. I have 1 monitor at 144hz and 1 at 60hz on the newest driver with no problem.

You are not trying to do some sort of stitched monitor solution are you. Like eyefinity is to amd.
