So this happens at complete random, sometimes it'll happen once or twice in a day and sometimes I go days without it happening. Bare with me while I try to explain what's happening.

This usually happens while I am playing a game. For example: I was just playing an MMO and it happened but the only way to know while playing a game is to try and do something like change zone or whatever. I can't do anything except run around and use abilities and such. It's like I lost connection but I don't get disconnected.

In addition to that, I can minimize and maximize everything I have opened already but my computer will struggle to open anything else or even close things that are already open. I can open up the start menu but I can't do anything in there so I'm forced to turn my computer off by holding the power button then turning it on again to "fix" it.

I have no clue what's causing this as I've never experienced this before.

From what you describe it definitely sounds like more of a software issue than a hardware one. I have seen similar issues caused by faulty PCI-E connectors on cheap/budget motherboards, but usually its pretty easy to identify that as the source of instability (reduced frame rates in games, overall poor GPU performance, etc.). In your case, though, the Aorus Elite is by no means a board I would class in the "budget" category. I would give the OS wipe a shot before trying anything else.

Completely wiped and reset my computer to be sure, so I'll see how it goes over the next couple of days.

Also yeah that's why I was so confused. I ruled out GPU related problems because there were no hits to performance at all within my game.
