Logitech Harmony alternative?

Hi,

Just read the tragic news about Logitech Harmony products been discontinued.

 

Found out this news because I was looking up a replacement remote because the down button on my remote  d-pad is pressing the select button when scrolling through my TV menu and Apps.

 

Do you think there will be a new universal remote or an alternative?

Probably not. If Logitech can't find it viable as the market leader, seems unlikely someone else would come in. I think it's dying off with ARC becoming more of a standard.
