Wireless mouse, is it healthy to keep it wired?

Themfolks

I've never owned a wireless mouse but I'm planning to buy one but I'd like to use it plugged in 95% of the time.

Is it healthy for the built-in battery? Can I do this? I read somewhere batteries should not be charged 24/7 as it can reduce lifespan.

Thanks in advance.

No battery plugged in 24/7 has a healthy life. A good mouse holds its charge for about 2 weeks of constant use. I don't know why you'd need a wireless mouse, but if I were you, I'd get a prooper cabled one and a cheap bluetooth one for when I'm lounging. As I already have. Can you explain your use case a bit more?

Thanks for replying. Well I would use it for everything. Gaming, work, media and all there is. I need a top notch mouse for precision aiming in games with at least 1K hz polling rate. I like the Razer Viper Ultimate (the latest one) but it's only in wireless edition.

I gave in and got a Logitech G502 Lightspeed to upgrade my G502 Hero SE

I don't regret it at all.

The scroll wheel improvement alone was worth it.

It usually lasts me like ten days and several dozen hours of use before it needs recharging.

The only con for this one is microusb.

RTING's website claims it has excellent latency compared to wired mice, even beating many wired latencys.
