So I built a PC recently and within the two weeks of use have run into a number of issues. The specs are in the description. The issues are as listed :-

(1) When I restart the PC using the hardware reset button, I incur a VGA error but when I restart from windows, It restarts perfectly.

(2) The PC suddenly didn't detect the NVME drive which has been installed from the beginning and I had to reinstall the drive to get the BIOS to detect it. It had POP!_OS on it and I had to reformat the drive.

(3) the CPU temps are often in the low 50's even when idling.

(4) when I make changes in the BIOS and save and reset it often just shuts down

So, before I put any data in the drives, should I trust this PC or should I just flip the parts on eBay and just buy a prebuilt server or a Mac ??

What are the specs of the system? it seems like all of these issues come down to the motherboard having some weirdness with it, and a BIOS update is probably all you need to get it to work properly. BIOS updates can fix a lot of really weird bugs, I.E. I had a similar shutdown bug on an old motherboard, and a BIOS update fixed it. I've also seen it fix boost behavior, so it could get your temps down (though depending on your CPU, that could just be the way it's designed to run). With how it sounds though, only the NVMe not detecting issue is the true game breaking one, and it's one that a BIOS update would probably fix. If you still aren't 100%, flip just the motherboard and get something new and maybe a little nicer, then see if that fixes all of your issues.

this is my PC. I have an ROG strix X570-E motherboard. The BIOS is the most recent version and there are no standoffs behind the motherboard that are unused.
