Gpu monthly usage

Hey,

I was wondering how much power does my RX 570 sapphire 8 GB consume, before I’ll really get into mining. I’ve read lot of things about gpu power usage, but never found the best one. The power consumption on my GPU is about 90w. My specs:

-Ryzen 5 1600x default clocks

-rx570 sapphire 8GB running at 1180mhz clock speed and 2080 memory speed

-cooler master master watt 600w lite

-msi a320 m pro m.2

-hyperx predator rgb 2x 8GB 3600mhz

I would like to ask you guys how much electricity does my whole pc consume in one month, while mining 24/7. I live in Hungary if you need for calculations. Thank you for your response.

Nicehash stats say that GPU when tuned for mining draws about 130W, and profitabilty is almost non-existent at 1.23€/day already without counting the rest of the PC.

For total system consumption best is to buy a power meter and see.

I have a 8G RX 580 running around 111W at 30 MH/S after my custom Radeon profiles are loaded up. By default I think your GPU could be around 155W.

It's best to get a power meter to check what it is, but if I had to take a guess its probably less that 200W for components not counting the GPU and then add the GPU power to do a rough estimate. That's assuming no CPU mining nd CPU usage is really low for a dedicated mining mode. I am no longer running a single GPU and don't remember exactly what it was, but I recall it was under 270W.

  • 2 weeks later...

if you check nicehash or whattomine.com you can calculate how much power you will use. both sites factor in you electricity cost to your profitability. only difference is nice hash takes 10% so you gotta factor that in yourself. i have a very simple oc on my cards which make them very efficient. ill post a screenshot. after a whole bunch of faffing around with manual oc with mixed results i gave up and just pulled the max frequency slider down to -20 and let the software do the rest. basically my cards dont use much more than 70W temps could be better but u know it is what it is and at least im running efficently. as you can see im still getting 29.something hashes on gpu 1 which is my rx 580 8gb so i mean its pretty good. 1466216654_RX580stats.thumb.jpg.cdc8655adb2cc763ea71526cfd0de1f9.jpg
