Aorus Xtreme 3090 Waterforce thoughts?

Budget (including currency):  USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Animation, rendering, video editing, simulation, production, slight gaming on the side

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Thoughts on the 3090 Waterforce? a key difference I see from other 3090's is the 2 8pin connection, other 3090's have 3 8pin. Would be an area of concern?

Just make sure you use 2 separate 8-pins and not the daisy cable.

This very much so. It seems it doesn't hurt performance but does require 2 separate 8 pin connectors.

Is there a difference between daisy cable (one cable with 2 x8 pins) and using two separate PCIE 8 pins(two separate cables)?

Double 8pin on a 3090 probably means that it's either undervolted by default or will need to be when configured. This delivery only gives it 375W max, which is quite low seeing as most 3090s easily hit the 400s on high load.

Yes. Increase stability and adaptability to the powerspikes of the 3090. Also keeping the load of the cable so it doesn't get damaged.

While a daisy cable should still technically be rated for 300W, It's better to have two connections on the PSU to ensure that surges can be divided safely. If you rely on a single port to supply 300W+ without a failsafe, you can see where the risk comes in.

interesting... so in the scope of 3090's this would be kinda be a weird card as the watercooling does nothing as there is not enough juice to pump this card to its max?

All electronic hardware functions better the cooler it is, so I think the theory here is that having significantly lower temperatures is enough to compensate for that lost power draw.

so in a sense it'll boost to the same performance while using less power because of the sufficient cooling method?
