Does your LG monitor has this monitor setup g-sync/ freesync options ?
As for my LG monitor i have to set freesync on, on the monitor first, it will flicker once, then the Setup G-Sync menu will appear on my nvidia control panel

Yeah i thought so, Displayport is much better for this kinda adaptive sync technologies imo
