is this build any good?

Is this build any good at all?

Yes, this build is very good. But you do not need any extra thermal paste at all. I would also recommend getting 3600mhz RAM, not 3200Mhz.

Great apart from the RAM. 2x16 3200 shouldn't cost 300, so go with a cheaper kit or 3600.

• While the AIO is a bit overkill, I understand the aesthetic implications with the 5000D Airflow - you don't need extra thermal paste though.

• I'm assuming that RAM pricing is just Amazon being weird? That kit should cost $200ish.

• The SSD is also double the price it should be for some reason; It should be like $130.

• That system is never going to draw enough for a 1000W PSU; I found this great option very recently, and it will be plenty for your system.

• Corsair fan hubs are picky with the different fan models, so I'd suggest changing your LLs to MLs to match the AIO, unless you want to ditch one of the LLs to keep the total down to 6 on their own hub. iCUE only recognizes one fan type per hub.

Some other people have already offered good suggestions and parts lists, but in case you want to change or add to their suggestions:

  • Don't need the extra thermal paste
  • Don't need that many fans. Your case is realistically only going to be able to fit 2 more fans. There are 7 useful fan locations in the case (3 top 3 front 1 back), of which your CPU cooler is going to occupy 3 of. The case comes with 2 fans already. Unless your plan is to replace every fan with an LL fan (which in that case your choice makes perfect sense).
  • @Forleb made goods points in that your PSU is WAY overkill, like WAY overkill. You could step down to 850W and it would still be overkill.
  • Again @Forleb makes good points about matching your fans to your fan hub.
  • I hope you can find an RTX-3080 for MRSP or already have one or else your whole budget is gonna be used on just that component.

Thank you all for the tips I was able to drop it down to about 1.8k

as you can see here https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DRkYF8

Go with the 5800X as it will perform better for gaming. You can offset the price by going with a cheap version of Windows. Places like cd keys etc should sell them for around $15.

You don't need the extra thermal paste, and in any case Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is better.

Cheaper SSD:
