Budget (including currency): $1200 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: RTS(CK3) to FPS(Call of Duty: Warzone)

Other details

I am doing just the PC budget before peripherals and monitors, though I plan on using one monitor and then maybe two.

I want to know if anything seems wrong or if there are things I could do better.

Only thing I can think of off hand looking at it is that gpu seems pretty cheap.  MsRP even. GPUs are one of those things that have been hard to find like lumber and bullets and some other stuff. there are people saying it will stay that way till the end of the year too.  I’m not sure they’re right, but it is being said.

My personal running plan is if I’ve got to build something quick, to find out what gpu I can get and then build a machine around that.  Secure the Video card first, then worry about the rest of it.  The 10700k has an iGPU in it though so even if you can’t get ahold of a video card the thing will still run.  You could browse the internet and watch videos and stuff.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Yeah the gpu is sold for 400 at some places but only every 2 weeks or so, I just hope to get it whenever that happens.

I would say step one is getting hold of a card and then worry about the rest of it after that is secured.  This will stop being the way things need to be done, hopefully, but for right now it’s the way it seems to be.  Might actually be a lot of cpu for that video card.  Depends on use case though.
