Sennheiser HD 518

I will soon be getting the Senneheiser HD 518 headphones for my PC at home. I have seen multiple videos and reviews of how the headphones are amazing, but the cord ends in a 1/4" plug and can sometimes start to bend because of the weight. My first question is if anyone knows of a cheap external plugin for my plug so I wont have it hanging 2 feet in the air on a 3.5mm jack. Also, (if anyone knows) Does the Senneheiser 5X8 shorter cable end in a 3.5mm connection? http://en-us.sennheiser.com/hd-5x8-short-cable Thank you for all comments and suggestions in advance :D

I don't have that cable myself but from the pictures it seems to be a 3.5mm jack.

That is what I thought but.....Sennheiser has terrible descriptions on their website :P
