Can i move raid array?

Go to solution Solved by roberto++,

This is excellent news, I am glad this worked out for you.

I still would caution others to do extensive research before attempting this as this has not been proven to work with every configuration. Backups are your friend.

HA you were wrong! i went from asrock to msi and it just autodetected the raid array with no problems what so ever

Simple answer, do not count on it.

Unless you have identical motherboards with the identical raid controller firmware version, I generally will tell you that you will not be able to move the array to another pc as this will result in data loss.

if i hava a motherboard with integrated raid controller and have a raid 0 array installed on it and then take the drives out and put them in another mobo, will the array still be usable?
