Hush, this is how I make sure we're always at the top, by convincing others to stay down!

That's a joke btw, it really doesn't make a significant difference OP. If the 10700 is cheaper and you aren't going to overclock, just get the 10700. Especially since it also has iGPU which can be useful at times.

I was debating between the i7 10700 and the i7 10700kf which are at the same price. My motherboard will be the msi z490 gaming edge wifi with a 240mm aio cooler. I don’t really need the integrated graphics but at the same time i don’t know if overclocking the 10700kf is worth it since i’m more of a plug and play guy.

IIRC 10700 all core is around 4.6, and all-core on the 10700k is only 100-200mhz more. You could do well with just getting the 10700 and removing power limits. At that frequency there's not much a difference between 4.6 and 4.8. And to be honest, even between 4.8 and 5.2.

Welcome

The funny thing is, I spent $420 on the 10900k, $240 on a Z590, $200 on fast memory, and $190 on a big cooler

That's $1050. And in the games I play, at the refresh I play at, I probably could have gotten away with a 10700 ($260), a basic B560 ($150), typical 3200 memory ($80), and a basic cooler (Fume 2 $60) ~$550 almost half the price.

Like, there's almost no real practical difference for gaming.

So who's REALLY the fool here?
