Force install Win98?

1: external media (???)
2: ATAPI CD-ROM drive
3: HDD
And the Windows 98 SE boot disk... Do I need a boot floppy to then run the CD? That could be a problem since I don't have any other systems with FDDs.
I checked your laptop model and its supposed to have an FDD? Odd..
Also it depends if the ISO you have is bootable, the one I got off of WinWorld (I think) ages ago would not boot on my Dell C610 and needs the boot disk. Though from what I remember I just burned the image to a disc since I don't have the FDD bay extention. What I do is spin up the boot CD which lands me in DOS with MSCDEX loaded, swap the disc with the Install one, navigate to "R:\" and run "setup". Of course the bootdisk also has useful stuff like fdisk so you could partition your drive before installing.
