So I got a 1080ti from some guy on fb marketplace and after a few months of using it all of a sudden it crashes. Not the whole system just the display goes black. No signal. I've tried a clean install of win10. Uninstaller drivers and reinstalled. Went to older versions  of drivers. Replaced gpu(worked fine after i replace gpu)

Weirdest part is sometimes it will crash and won't post. Motherboard says cpu issue but if I remove a stick of ram it will boot to windows... and after a couple hours it will crash again and I have to switch ram slots to get it working again. I can recreate the black screen if i put load on the gpu but it will still black screen randomly

EDIT:  it black screens on furmark instantly...

EDIT2: I cleaned the gpu completely with ipa 99%... it was working for about 25m before it went back to crashing under load again...

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give:)

I'm no expert, but it seems like it might be having some thermal issues? If it works fine when you replace the GPU then I think that it's either a PCIe problem, or thermals. Try repositioning some fans or reapplying thermal pads.

Forgot to add that temps are 100% fine

Let me know when you do replace it, we can work out a price. I am interested in it! Glad it's working for now.
