Hello everyone,
Earlier today while just downloading games, not even playing them. My PC blue-screened with the message: DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION. After rebooting i noticed my Samsung EVO 970 Plus vanished, nowhere to be found. Not in the BIOS, not in Windows anywhere.
(Not in file explorer, not in disk management either)
What I have noticed is that in the Device manager it shows with a Yellow triangle and a red border: https://imgur.com/a/V60n1kc
My motherboard is an ASUS Prime z390-P and somehow this is the second time it vanished like this. I RMA'd the previous 970 Plus to samsung and got this new one just last week and it worked great until earlier today when it blue-screend.
I did notice however that while moving my entire steam dir(4/500GB) my SSD was hitting 82 degrees celcius. This happened last week so you'd think that would be the problem but my SSD lasted until now just fine..
My question is would a BIOS update maybe help? I've had this motherboard since December 2019 and never really updated the MOBO itself. I've already tried putting the SSD in the other m.2 slot and i've also already put it in my laptop but it just doesn't work anymore.
Samsung magician and the device manager tell me it's running on the latest drivers..
Thanks for your time,
Please suggest any possible solutions!
