Sudden shut down

Im watching a youtube video when my pc suddenly turned off i tried to turn it on but my pc and psu is not turning on what could be broken

 

Btw my motherboard is new

 

Is my psu broken or is my motherboard broken?

Are there any lights or fan spin showing on the computer when you hit the power button?

Are any other devices working from that outlet? (Perhaps you tripped the breaker)

Then for it to just "stop" is not an electric issue. 
 

1. Do you have a spare PSU is Motherboard to test with?
2. Does it work in another outlet?
3. Was there an error message or did it just blank?

It just turned off straight away

 

I dont have any extra psu

I tried my psu to a diffrent motherboard and it is also not working

The only way I know is if the plug was pulled, overheating which I doubt, or PSU failure. I think the easiest way to test the PSU is to plug in a CD/DVD drive and wait for printer sounds

The only way I know is if the plug was pulled, overheating which I doubt, or PSU failure. I think the easiest way to test the PSU is to plug in a CD/DVD drive and wait for printer sounds

That's a definite sign of a dead PSU... sorry man...

 

If it's still in warranty try to get it replaced

I can't really answer that one... If the PSU is the only thing and the first thing that went then it should be fine
