I want to stream on twitch but when I try h264 or h264/GPU I can’t go over 720p before dropping frames. I don’t have nvenc. I was looking for something like a capture card but instead of just transferring the single to the pc it actually encodes the video stream reducing the load on the pc. I don’t know if this is a thing, but if it is please let me know.

I have a one pc setup.

cpu encode?

though if your gpu doesnt have encoder, you're probably running a very low end rig

why not grab some GPU with NVENC? cheapest ones would be 1050ti or something

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I have a 5600x and 6700 xt, The problem is I can’t limit the FPS on R6 (the only game I play) so the game uses all the resources and doesn’t allow any for obs. And yes I’ve tried running it as admin and upping the priority,       The avermedia live gamer mini advertises a h.264 encoder built in, will this do what I want?

ah, then don't AMD cards have encoder?

if that's not your cup of tea (because i heard it sucks), then you may try cpu encode?

set the preset to faster for lower cpu usage (at lower stream quality)

im not sure if what you asked for exists tbh
