PLEASE stop using brand as a synonym of quality. Thermaltake, Corsair, BeQuiet and Seasonic have manufactured TERRIBLE power supplies in terms of quality/stability, so saying "Thermaltake is a great brand for power supplies" is nothing more than a blatant lie because you're implying any and all Thermaltake PSUs are great.

OP. That PSU is bad. Don't buy something just because of its brand.

Thank you!

By the way, how do i know if a PSU is good? i mean, what and where do i have to look.

This is a good start. It's not the end all be all, but it'll get you places. Reviews from reputable reviewers(not Amazon or Newegg reviews) will help you get the one you want too.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Ok, im from Argentina (Latin America), my budget is around 80 usd. thanks for your help

If you don't plan on upgrading you can get the Be Quiet! Pure Power 11 CM 500w. If you wanna upgrade go for the Seasonic Core GM 650w. I don't know how prices are in Argentina but for some reason my PC Part Picker won't load prices. They're 80 here so it's probably the same in Argentina.

RX 5500XT

HyperX Fury 3200mHz 8gb x2

1 HDD 7.2k RPM

1 HDD 5.6k RPM

1 SSD 120gb Kingston

That's it, i want to know if i can trust this PSU lmao.

Notice it only has 408W on the +12V rail?  For a "500W"?

what about Redragon ?

The Redragon 80 PLUS Gold PSUs aren't bad.  They're same as Helly 1st Player.

The 80 PLUS Bronze units are super old (2013) CWT GPK platform.  Even then, still way better then Gamemax.

The thing is: He is from Argentina and AFAIK the redragon he might find is the RGPS-500 which is Group Regulated

System Power U9 is the same as Redragon Bronze.  So between the two, you get the cheapest of the two.  😄

Y tomando en cuenta Compragamer, tus opciones 3B Buenas, Bonitas y Baratas de acuerdo a lo que necesites serían:

  • XPG Pylon
  • Be Quiet! System Power U9

Hate to interrupt here but do know the U9 is a bit worse than the CX, if you're talking about the current model with a gray label.

It's def not going to blow up or cause a fire with just a 3100 and low wattage card, but, if you're planning to upgrade to let's say a 5600X then the CX is gonna be a better choice.

We know the CX is better than the U9, but the CX may not be available in Argentina right now.

It is very difficult to import into Argentina right now.
