Monitor cuts out on display port 1.2

Hi all,

 

I have borrowed a Samsung 34"ultra wide 75hz.

When I game in certain games at certain times the screen goes blank like no input then comes back, showing the source icon like when a input is first switched on.Doesn't do it if I pick Display port 1.1 in the monitor menus but that leaves me with horrible 6 bit colour. Also didn't happen on my dell 24" also on display port.

 

Any suggestion on a cause/fix would be amazing.

Wow? 75 MHz? I thought the most you can get was 360Hz!?
