Very old laptop cooling

Do I need to replace thermal paste on a Socket 7 CPU, or use any at all? My 380mHz K6 doesn't get very hot at all, just don't want to damage it in any way.

IMHO If it ain't broke don't fix it... especially when it comes to laptops and old stuff, I wouldn't be surprised if you snapped some of the plastic clips keeping it together due to the aged plastic bits.

Unfortunately I need to disassemble it anyway to replace the HDD, but luckily found that there are only 2 plastic clips.
