Rainbow problem when full screen

Hey guys I know my laptop is old but it's the only one I have and I can't afford a new one. I'm having problems with some full screen apps. Everytime I fullscreen an app like Dota2, VLC, Genshin Impact, the colors get messed up. Like red turns to blue etc. While for Valorant the entire screen just turns into a rainbow mess. For Valorant however when any windows UI shows up like the volume adjustment the colors turn to normal, this is also happening when I quickly switch from full screen to windowed then back to fullscreen. Here are some photos, sorry if they are pictures taken from the phone, somehow the screenshots are normal color.

• HP pavilion 17 Notebook PC
• Windows 10 Home 64 bit
• Amd A8-6410 APU with Radeon R5 Graphics
• Stock 6GB ram
• Stock 1TB HDD

Did you try reinstalling your Graphics drivers ?

Hi yes I did. I also tried rolling back to a previous version.

PS. I forgot to state that this started when I last updated drivers.

Maybe try to run a clean installation, did that when Cold War crashed on me every other game and it worked.

 

But i do not know how it works with AMD graphics you would have to look it up on YouTube

If you mean clean installing the display driver I did that too

Damn, maybe it is the displays fault ? Did you try other monitors or TVs ?

yeah I did. the rainbow doesn't affect them but the color swap does.

fixed it with a reinstall of windows 10. its all good now. leaving this for anyone that has the same problem,

hi i have the same issue as well i tried to reinstall windows 10 but didnt work. By any chance do you mean by reinstalling all of my pc data should be removed cause i kept everything and reinstalled it and it didnt work. Please reply to my message as fast as you can because my pc is lagging a lot

try going into settings on valorant. Then click video then Graphics Quality. From there on press 'improve clarity' to on. Worked for me may as well give it a shot.
