so this is a bit confusing but here is some context so i bought this budget computer and a rx 470 4gb because i wanted to cryptocurrency mine for a bit of passive income and not to put in too much anyway the rx 470 was working fine with this pc but windows 10 wasnt installing because im pretty sure the motherboard is too old (lga 775) but thats not my issue i decided to use a bit newer pc (lga 1155) and put the same 650w in the old pc to the lga 1155 one and move the rx 470 but it wasnt booting so i uninstalled the gpu and decided to test onboard graphics that worked fine as a test i used a really old gpu that is really only used as a display adpater and that worked so i decided to test the gpu that i have in my pc right now but it didnt boot so pretty much some gpu's that i know work arent working in this pc and some gpu's work so im pretty sure its the power supply but im not sure and really need some help.

Then the PCIe power connector from the power supply might be the problem. Does the power supply have any other 6 or 8 pin connectors that you could try?

i have tried both the 2 x 6+2 pin connectors none work but was using the same psu with another pc with same graphics card and it worked

Does the computer POST or does the boot fail completely? Do you get a display output at all you are going out of the RX 470?

the computer only posts when no graphics card or the bad display adapter graphics card and i got a display output from the rx 470 but on the lga 775 one

Maybe the power supply can't handle the load when paired with the new motherboard (This shouldn't be the case with a 650W and RX470, but it's the last thing I can think of)

Do you have an additional power supply that you could hook to the graphics card (or to the motherboard/CPU and use the 650W for the graphics card) to see if it would boot that way?

tried it using a 350w for the mobo and cpu and 650w for the rest and it didnt boot but i tried the rx 470 on my current pc and it worked fine so it really rules out the graphics card as the problem
