Need to bios flash a new x570 and 5800x? Anything I should know when switching from intel to amd?

Hey all, apologies for not having much聽knowledge in this area. I'm upgrading my pc to an x570 and a聽5800x from my current intel cpu and board. I have heard some say that a bios flash is needed on the motherboards and others that say that the new motherboards are now configured to be ready out of box for the cpu's, what should I do when I get the new board and cpu?

Also I have never swapped from intel to amd before, do I need to remove intel drivers and do a clean install of windows? Any help and tips are really appreciated.

Thank you guys 馃檪

Some boards are already bios updated. If they have "Ryzen 5000 Ready" sticker on them that means they work out of the box.

if they do not you can pick a board that has USB bios flash, so oyu can update the bios without a cpu.

or you can get a board that does not have the feature and ask the shop to bios update it for you.

That depends on what you buy, and where you buy it from.

All motherboards that are not old stock will work out of the box AFAIK.

If you wanna be 100% sure then buy a board with a bios flash button.
