CS:GO resoliution

What is an optimal resoliution for Cs:Go like competitive vise? I know that many players do 1280x960, 1280x800 etc. similar, but my screen is 1600x1050 not 1920x1080 what is adequate res for my screen? (btw its a 20" if that matters) also I dont want that awkward black lines on top and bottom screen :D So what aspect ratio should I use? Thanks guys :)

just go full, some use 4:3 to focus things since they dont use the sides much anyhow as if someone comes up there they die anyhow, so they can ignore distractions, but its not worth thinking about

full screen, it will re-size and/or stretch and/or shrink the screen to work the best for you.

A lot of the professional players use 4:3 because that's what they're used to. Some of the newer professional players play on 16:9 too. I'd just use your native resolution and don't get too caught up in the little things.

That's 16:9 :P the 16:10 is 1920x1200

I meant 1200 but I type 1080 so much my ipad autocorrects anything with 4 numbers it seems

1024x768 with black bars on a 24 inch screen. Alot of people use fullscreen nowadays because theres a wider field of view.
