7950 dead?

I purchased a HD 7950 4 days ago and it has been functioning correctly during this time.i was just playing DayZ when the screen went and showed nothing but green and white vertical lines. I turned off the computer, waited for it to cool then tried to restart the system.now on start up it shows these lines on the screen.

After the starting windows there is just a  black screen. (integrated graphics is fine)

 

Advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated 

 

ps. There is no overclocking on the card

Try taking the card out and reseat it., Uninstall and reinstall your drivers

Return it to the store and replace it... it's weird. You have warranty.

Maybe try going to integrated graphics then updating drivers? If not maybe uninstall and reinstall drivers, worst case scenario.

I have just reinstalled drivers and the same thing is happening.

I have also re-seated the card and tried it in the second pic-e slot.

The card is defective, return it as soon as possible.
A lot of people have been reporting defective XFX cards, this can't be good for the company.

crap my friend has got an XFX card and i was about to get one.

well it wasn't too bad when it was working, although it was a bit loud.

I'm now looking into returning/replacing it.

If you can get a different 7950 from MSI, Sapphire, Gigabyte or HIS. The XFX 7950 has terrible VRM cooling and just isn't a good cooler design in general. Sorry about having your card blow up. That just sucks :(
