120hz w/ G-Sync or 144hz?

Raid Owl

I recently just got an Acer Predator xb273k, which is a 4k monitor that supports up to 144hz. The issue I am running in to is that when I set the monitor to 144hz mode (requires 2 physical display port cables) then I lose the ability to turn on adaptive sync in the monitor settings, which disables G-Sync. However, when I am running in 120hz mode, then I can use adaptive sync.

I am struggling to decide which to go with and would like to know what everyone would do in my situation.

P.S. Maybe there is an issue I'm overlooking and I should be able to use adaptive sync in 144hz mode?
