Got a non-working R9 380 card. More info about the card can be found here:

It arrived a little bent - unsure if this is a part of the problem? https://imgur.com/a/mzcPgo7

Anyway, the card turns off under load. Put it in my system, and sure enough - it crashed under load (I saw the MSI Afterburner usage graph go up to 43%, then the whole system froze). I the pressed the reset button, nothing. I had to hold down the reset button for the system to turn off. When it started up again, the 380 showed as not installed under device manager (forgot pics, sorry). The card therefore showed up as 0 MHz, 0mV, 0C, and 0c mem MHz in Afterburner. https://imgur.com/a/EKVdzRz

I then attempted to install it in Device manager, but got a Code 31 error,  https://imgur.com/a/JeLZpTg. I then attempted to install drivers from the AMD website, the latest ones. System crashed while installing these drivers.

Anyone got any tips?

Because of the flex, maybe it doesn't work anymore. But un-flexing it can cause even more problems so that's not what you want to start with.

If you restart the system without  the GPU and then start it again with the GPU, see if you can impose a really strict power limit on the card.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

So try to give it as little power as possible through MSI Afterburner? I can give that a try, but I don't think I can give it more than -20% though, which isn't a lot compared to the R9 290X/390s I have that do +/-50%..

Aaannd that didn't work. Popped it in my system, no drivers as expected for the GPU, 1st time it was a failed attempt https://imgur.com/a/yejCg3e. Installed again, worked fine. Gave the card a -20% power limit, and then it BSODed. "Thread stuck in device driver". Tried again after rebooting, same exact BSOD. Got any tips?

I'm not sure aside from checking for physical damage
