No post screen after xmp

I made a new build and it took a while and it randomly went to post. I switched on xmp and now I can’t get past post. The dram led on the mobo is on and I’ve tried using one stick at a time but it’s still on. I didn’t even install windows yet I guess it was kinda dumb to enable xmp.

 

Ryzen 5 5600x

MSI B550 VDH Wifi

gskill 8gb x 2 3600 cl16

 

All of the parts came up in the bios when I first got in but now I can’t get anything. I’ve reset the cmos using the battery method and it seems to do nothing. Should I try flashing an updated bios? The cpu light isn’t on so I assume it’s already updated to use Zen 3.

Ok for some reason one stick works now but the dram led is perma on. Not sure how to enable 3600 if it’s just gonna do that. It’s running at 2133 default I think I saw.

Most mobos will attempt to set your XMP profile and fail multiple times before it gives up and goes back to defaults. 

This can take 5-15minutes. 

You could reset your cmos to speed up the process.
