HELP NEEDED

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get some help. I have an Acer aspire laptop that was running windows 10. one morning I switched it on, the windows logo showed but it wouldn't let me login it said lockescreen.exe has failed. I have tried to reset the computer but it always fails and says "there was a problem with this pc could not reset windows" and it doesn't let me us the system recover option either. I'm stuck and need help. so if you can help me kindly do.

Do you have access to another computer? Any files on the laptop you need to get off? I would suggest a clean install but there are a few steps you need to do before that, especially if you want to keep your stuff.
