Newish to PCs

I'm coming from the Mac world and I'm interested in building a PC to play MS Flight Simulator, Call of Duty and maybe some others. It has been well over 15 years since I've built a new PC.

The biggest challenge I have is selecting a video card. I know they're hard to come by right now but I'm struggling to even find one that will work for me. I have an LG 5k UltraFine Display. I'm not really interested in replacing it. So that's where I need help. I can't seem to figure out what video cards have Thunderbolt on them. The monitor has 1 Thunderbolt 3 input. Any suggestions?

Budget (including currency): TBD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Call of Duty, MS Flight Simulator

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

If I'm not mistaken Thunderbolt simply can carry video signal, just like Display Port. That's why some older macs had a Thunderbolt port which had a miniDisplayPort format.

I think it could be used both for data transfer and video signal, basically like USB-C today. But TB is a standard developed by Intel and Apple when they were in their early days of collaboration.

Currently TB 3 uses a USB-C format from what I can see. It should work if you got a USB-C DisplayPort cable.
