Mining with closed case?

That is okay if I do that when my computer closed?

Not have mining rig, only my personal computer.

RTX 3080 Temps: 65-70C

Memory: 104C

Thanks.

Should be fine, but keep an eye on temperatures. 104C seems kind of hot. It's still within spec and these cards run very hot memory wise, but it's a high temperature. Maybe increase airflow a bit or reduce memory clocks if you have an overclock applied. I don't own a 3080 however, but @Moonzy has a couple mining, they probably have more experience regarding temperatures on these cards.

For a single card, 104c seems a tad high

What miner are you using? Quickminer or regular miner?

Try crank up the fan speed, most 3080 I have can do below 100c easily even on high ambient temps

Closed casing is fine for single card

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Minerstat.

Fan speed at 80%

I trying to save my card and their fans.

FTW3 Ultra.

Hmm

What's your GPU clock speeds and power limit?

Mining don't use 100% on power limit, and is heavily reliant on memory clock for ETH algo

How much MH/s speed you achieved on single card?

Some people report on 100MH/s but I using my computer every day so I want stable clocks.

For my 3080s, 100-103

One of them couldn't clock high so around 100, the rest are 102.5-103

VRAM temps are roughly 102-106c, but the ambient temp is high and they're packed quite closely together with about 1.5 pcie slot of gap between them, open casing tho

A standalone 3080 in open air test bench is 98c ish, though is varies based on cooler

So I wouldn't say yours is too bad, just a tad high and probably caused by bad cooler (or thermal pad, I just finished swapping a thermal pad on my 3090 and the VRAM to dropped by 20c)

3080:

~220-240W, depending on model

Core clock offset: 0, going negative hurts performance

Memory clock offset: +1375 (worst card), +1450-1500 for the rest

Fan speed 80-100%, depending on the noise

Power limit varies based on memory clocks as well, every 100 MHz need about 1% more power limit, explore it yourself

You have some stable clocks offer for everyday use at the computer? For 95 - 100 MH/s.

I will tried 900 Mem with 0 Core / 65% PL and crashed.

Not for 3080, since I don't use it in my daily rig

I use a 3070 instead

You may have to lower the men clock some more, power limit almost never affect stability afaik, just core and men clock

So how much on the core?

Some people told that core clocks helps with the stability but many put that on 0.

Hmm... I heard 3080 don't have much headroom? So I'd say about +200 is the limit

I never fiddled with core clocks on my 3080 so I don't really know, sorry

Mining ETH isn't affected by core clock so it makes sense to leave it at 0 (going negative hurts mining perf for 3080 and 3090, most other GPU just crank core clock all the way down to the minimum, mostly -502)

108C on the maximum temp is bad?

850 MEM with 0 Core.

Closed case daily system.

Seems kinda high for a 3080

Auto fan speed? Above 70% fan speed?

Throttling temp is 110c, so you aren't losing performance yet

80% fan speed

108C after only few minutes from the launch.. so after some time maybe it goes hottier...
