Why such an expensive case and drive? I would also get a 3080 to play games at 4k. Im not sure if a 2080ti/3070 will be as good for games like Cyberpunk. And up the psu to 850w for a 3080 if u decide to get it.

The NVMe drive will operate at PCIe 3.0 speeds as 10th gen intel does not support PCIe 4.0.

The case is needlessly large and expensive.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

11700K? With a 3090, in 2021? Honestly, 5900X would be a much better option. And there's no reason to blow $800 on a SSD, game loading times from SATA are not noticeably slower.

I think @Downkey did a good job with the build, except I'd go for 5900X.

Find a 5900X, even at an unreasonable price.

The RTX 4090 was US$400 less than any PCPartPicker listed RTX 3080.

Read the OP. The NVMe drive was selected by the OP and the drive fits into the budget. I would argue that there is a noticeable difference between NVMe and SATA performance.

He selected NVMe Gen 4 drive and a CPU that can't run Gen 4 - I'm pretty sure he just picked the most expensive as he has high budget. Also, the difference in game loading times is not noticeable.

And while we're at it, OP also selected 10700K and it fits in budget, so with your logic, it should stay. Also, you said "the case is needlessly large and expensive" - exact same argument I make against the SSD.

RTX 4090? You meant 3090? And what that it is less, when it's out of stock too (PCPartPicker is mistaken here)? I can say I have 3090 for $200, just am out of stock.

I bet I can find 5900X easier than you can find a 3090.
