I'm building a data science workstation and wanted some feedback on the CPU. Do I go with the AMD 24-core threadreaper or the AMD 32-core threadreaper? It'll be paired with a 3090, A6000, or A100 but I don't know whether the 24 core would become a bottleneck [fetching data for the GPU] or 32 core will be overkill. The price difference is about $700-$800 between the two CPUs.

I've been using cloud GPUs but they usually limit you to 8 core CPUs or get you on the storage random IOPS speeds. Basically they slow you down in some way to keep the meter going for longer. Which makes it impossible to find the bottleneck in the chain.
