Hello, i have an Adata SU650 SSD that i got for my old MacBook (2007 white running mountain lion), but when i try to install OS on it, it is incredibly slow, even slower than its original hard drive. Does anyone have an idea why is it doing that, and how can i fix it? Thanks

Did you check your ssd health? One thing if you didnt know, however ssd you buy, you are stuck to sata 2 not sata 3 so maybe thats one more reason to look out.

If you want, i have same macbook lying around here to test with ssd, just explain that extremely slow or make a video and send me in dm to look

Tell us everything you tried because we need all info you have to help you. Somebody else get in this please, only thing that i can do now is to try myself out to see if it is same situation. I use with sata 3 macbook from 2007 and it is running well if you see his year of release. Not every laptop can be easily fixed with ssd and like new. Also Why are you still using that old machine when you can get 2008-2009-2010 macbooks easy for 100-150 bucks. I mean for anything to do with it seriously you need at least something realiable like 2012 macbook pro unibody which cost like 200-250 bucks, Or build a windows pc for much less money and do the basics like office etc.

I use that old machine mainly because my windows laptop kinda died, and buzing new one is not really an option since i live somewhere, where Macs are pretty uncommon and very expensive (2008 Macbook Air for about $400)

I first installed lion using USB, and the installation was smooth, but as soon as you reboot after install into the system it is extremely slow( i know, it is indexing that ssd, but even after it finishes and reboots it is extremely slow). I have tested other SSD in that machine (Intel ich7-M 80GB), and it is very fast and reliable. ( i want that Adata one because 80GB is too small for me)
