I'm going to build a new system as soon as you can get a new graphicscard, and i already started configurating and i'm pretty sure about case, powersupply storage etc.,

but now i stand before a decision:

Keep my old ryzen 5 1400 and pair it with a 3060 (I'm using a 1440p Monitor but still tell me if it's a bottleneck)

Or buy an i5 11 or 10600kf and a z490 Motherboard and have more room for a more powerful graphicscard like a 3060ti or 3070.

What do you recommend me?

That Ryzen 1400 is quite old at this point. if you have the cash for an entire new computer, it would best to go with that. A 10600KF would perform a lot better in comparison to the Ryzen 1400 and will not be bottlenecking any current graphics card at 1440p.

However, if you are looking to upgrade on a budget depending on your motherboard you can also get something like a 3900X and pair it again with pretty much any graphics card to your liking, as at 1440p there won't be any significant performance loss.

does your current motherboard not support a powerful GPU ? I think it should, motherboards are agnostic when it comes to GPUs because every modern motherboard supports PCI-Ex16 nowadays

as for your CPU, if you Motherboard's bios can be upgraded, do that and fit a Ryzen 3600 or similar , that should be enough for gaming

you can save money and invest it better in other areas of your PC ( case PSU cooling ram GPU etc )

just my 2 cents, good luck !

What motherboard do you currently have with your 1400? Perhaps a Ryzen 5 3600 would be a suitable upgrade for you, still a big jump in performance.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?
