VENGEANCE RGB PRO SL 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz

with 

ROG Crosshair VIII Formula

I am also thinking of buying another pair so i can fill out the memory slots if compatible is it ok to do so??

Yes this is fine, assuming your signature is accurate and you're using a 5900x for your CPU?

I'm an IT System Admin with 15+ years worth of XP, plus I've been tinkering computers since I was old enough to hold a screwdriver, so I usually know what I'm talking about.

yes signature accurate. and thank you , thoughts on buying another pair? just to fill memory slots ?? will it affect performance

That will give you quad channel which will give you a tiny boost in performance. 

I'm an IT System Admin with 15+ years worth of XP, plus I've been tinkering computers since I was old enough to hold a screwdriver, so I usually know what I'm talking about.

4 DIMMS =/ 4 memory modules. Ryzen desktop processors are only dual channel memory, leaving Threadripper and EPYC quad-channel memory support. 

 

To the OP, you might see an increase in performance using 4 DIMMS over 2.

You may or may not see a performance uplift by populating all 4 DIMMS. Ryzen 5000 series has better memory controllers than their predecessors, so you should be able to populate all 4 DIMMS if necessary.
