External Monitors not detected.

I have an Alienware A51M that has developed an issue.  I'm hoping it's windows being a butt.

 

When I plug in a monitor to either the MiniDP or the HDMI port the monitor turns on,(so the monitor is detecting a connection) but windows does not detect it.

 

I have tried several things including diferant cables, power cycles, the Detect button in display settings.  any ideas out there?

 

Heres hoping.
