Lenovo l340 not detecting GPU Anymore

HichemxD

Hello everyone , I've been in deep problem since this morning,
I have lenovo l340 for more than a year and never had this issue before
This morning, I noticed that windows 10 doesn't detect my gpu 1650 anymore ! I can't open Nvidia Control Panel, I can't driver from nvidia experience, I can't see Nvidia gpu in Device Manager !!!
I tried to reset windows (without losing files) but still have same problem !
(even if I show hidden devices in DeviceManager, the nvidia doesn't show up)
if I plug external monitor, the monitor LED light up, but nothing happens !
I literally didn't touch anything strange since last night ! that's super weird
Please help or I am losing my job :'( (as 3d Artist)
I am sure I will find help from you guys!

Hey guys, same happened to me. I am using the L340 with the GTX 1050. It popped up in the device manager after re-installing windows but when trying to install the driver it caused a BSOD saying "PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA (nvlddmkm.sys)"

Been trying to find a solution online for the past 3 days haven't found anything as yet.

since more people talking about this same issue, could this happened because of the recent update from Windows ?
can somebody else confirm this?

Is there any fixes that we can try. I have tried 1903 but that is when I get a BSOD. Once I update to 2020 I am unable to detect my graphics card device manager. I tried to see if there was any errors in my device manager but did not find any issues, I even checked hidden devices.

Hey I think I fixed it, So I couldn't find anything relating to my GPU in the BIOs but I saw BIOS back flash. So I enabled it. It then showed up and I installed the GPU. Sorry mind my last post.

so here is my update, I didn't touch my laptop for 2 dys, but today I opened my laptop for the last try before I buy new laptop.... I checked device manager and bum bum bum, I found something called "Microsoft adapter.." under display adapters, so I went to try to install nvidia experience driver, and it worked !!!!!!!!
everything back to normal!
I believe that the bios had an automatic update, that's why it was fixed !

  • 5 weeks later...

I'm having the same issue for a couple of months now. It detects the GPU GTX 1050 only some days, but most of the time I'm running it on intel integrated graphics card. I also have a l340 for over a year now. It's been really frustating.

I mean you all could try the DDU and just stay on the old drivers. Most Nvidia updates I'd think would be pretty irrelevant at this point. For a 10 or 16 series. Plus as of late Nvida drivers can be pretty buggy best to just stick with the latest "STABLE" drivers.

I love PC building and gaming.
REMEMBER botttlenecks can happen at all points of a PC part. Make sure you are at equilibrium. For all parts unless you intend to upgrade at a later point. Also QA Tested AAA Games.

Halla Lenovo Fam,

I have the same problem from Yesterday. I have a problem with the freezing screen. I reset Bios and installed new windows on

L340 and the Laptop starts again.

I like to ask for Bios update, computer start flashing and turn off after update, but when i change electicity plug

at recharger of laptop, computer starts.
