Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: A large varity, mostly Minecraft, terraria, doom eternal, stardew valley, and other games, as well as school work, and video watching.

Current choise is between FX506LI-BI5N5, and the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-44-R99Q. Any other suggestions or am I good?

For acer Nitro 5 the build looks good just need more 8gb ram which you can add later.

I would take the Acer nitro if I were you.

 

It has a Ryzen CPU with 6 cores and 3200mhz ram,but a slightly weaker GPU which is a tradeoff I prefer over the slower Intel i3 with 4 cores.
